Cross Processing

Since I have started doing some of my photography again, I dug out some of my old equipment and at the suggestion of my friend, Scott, joined flickr. I joined several flickr groups, which inspired me to dig out some of my old medium-format cameras. I have an old Yashica Mat and a Holga. I also was inspired to do some cross processing. Most of the cross processing I will be doing will be E-6 film in C-41 Chemicals. I just developed my first roll of 35mm cross processed film. I took a roll of expired Kodak Elite Chrome 200 (ED-3) that I purchased at the Wolf Camera Clearance Center on Harry Hines. I then had it cross processed in C-41. It was a photoshoot that Drew and I did at Bachman Lake in Dallas. Here are the some of my best images from this roll.

Captivated Images Photography

Since I started spending more time on my photography, I have been more interested in professional photographers. I know that I didn't like my friend, Amy's wedding photographer. He wasn't very nice and I was very disappointed in his work.

Today while I was visiting Drew at work, I ran into a professional photographer, Sam Cantu of A2Z Photo and Video, who is doing a Quinceanera tomorrow. He was telling me about some of the traditions and about some of the videography and still imagery he'll be doing.

I decided I wanted to start browsing some of the professional photographer's on the web. I just found the web site of one whose images and style I love. It's Captivated Images. The images in his or her portfolio of babies are amazing! I love them.

Since I got the photographs from my cousin, Katy's wedding back, I have been especially interested in baby and child photography. I think that this could be one of my callings. As you can see here in the photo of my cousin Amanda and her darling son.
